Film concept
Fractal Being: The Land of All Lives is an experimental fusion film by Hanna Zhu. It begins with a simple proposition: we are not separate particles moving through an indifferent universe, but repeating expressions of a larger living pattern.
Fusion dance moves between fluid ink simulations and intimate documentary images, linking the scale of the individual body to the imagined scale of the cosmos.
Creative approach
The work combines movement-led composition, human-made media and cinematic editing. Editing operates as choreography: dance, ink and documentary fragments meet without collapsing into one another, creating continuity between individual gesture and cosmic structure. No AI was used in the film.
Embodiment and scale
The film moves between intimate bodily presence and vast imagined systems. This shift in scale makes human movement a resonance that travels through the surrounding images while the body remains the work’s emotional anchor.
